Creator sample check

Before you ship a free sample: send, send with care, or don’t send, and why.

It rules out clear mismatches from public data. It does not predict sales.

How the check works

The eight checks

  • Median views in the last 30 days, counting only videos at least 3 days old and skipping pinned ones.
  • Engagement: likes, comments and shares as a share of views.
  • Top video versus the median, so one viral hit doesn’t hide a quiet account.
  • Posts per week. More than 35 a week is a red light.
  • How many recent posts sell something.
  • How many of their linked products are in your category.
  • Comment quality: templates, emoji-only, repeats and bare @mentions.
  • Follower growth over the account’s life.

What it can’t tell you

  • Sales, GMV, audience demographics and rates aren’t public, so they aren’t here.
  • A sudden jump in a video’s daily views is described as a pattern common with paid promotion. That is not a verdict on the creator: they may have promoted a video that sold well.
  • AI content is only what TikTok itself labels as AI-generated. Videos made elsewhere may carry no label.
  • Whether a real person is on camera, the commission terms and ties to a competing brand: check these on their profile before you ship.
